Discover Continental Pageantry
What began more than 45 years ago as a hobby has, through the vision of owner Jim Flint, grown into one of the world’s premier female impersonation pageant systems. The first Miss Continental Pageant took place in Chicago over Labor Day weekend in 1980, when then largely unknown Baton entertainer Chilli Pepper was crowned.

Since then, Chilli has become an icon in the art of female impersonation, entertaining audiences nationwide. For many, she represents the standard every ambitious entertainer hopes to achieve. Earning the title of Continental has long served as a career-defining milestone, elevating entertainers to a new level within the industry.
Over the years, contestants competing for the title have gone to extraordinary lengths to stand out, incorporating everything from 12-foot boa constrictors and panthers into talent performances to show-stopping, precisely choreographed numbers inspired by Broadway and today’s top artists. Their fashion has been just as memorable, featuring gowns, swimwear, and dresses from leading designers as well as unexpected sources. What started as a hobby has evolved into what many refer to as “The Pageant Continental,” a showcase of elite competition featuring some of the best performers from around the world.

As the competition grew in stature, Mr. Flint recognized the need for a pageant that celebrated larger entertainers, leading to the launch of the first Miss Continental Plus Pageant in 1990. After being hosted in several cities during its early years, the event eventually found a permanent home in Chicago.
As the system continued to expand, Mr. Flint also introduced Miss Continental Elite and Mr. Continental. Through years of experimentation and risk-taking, what began as a personal passion has helped shape the careers of many entertainers, some of whom have gone on to success in film, television, and modeling. With contestants often showcasing cutting-edge fashion and exceptional runway presence, the competition has also become a favorite among aspiring participants in major female pageants such as Miss Universe, Miss America, and Miss USA.
“Continental isn’t just a pageant—it’s a legacy of artistry, community, and pride. It's Family.” Jim Flint - Founder
