Honoring seasoned performers, this division recognizes experience, grace, and the enduring spirit of pageantry. Open to contestants age 45+ who were born a biological male. Hormone use and body-altering procedures, including breast implants, silicone, cosmetic surgery, and full medical transition to female, are permitted. Full transition allowed as of 2019 (Rules & Regulations).
Contestants may qualify for the National Pageant by competing in an officially sanctioned preliminary pageant during the pageant year in which they intend to compete. To qualify, a contestant must either win their division or place in the top two finalists at a sanctioned preliminary held in the United States or internationally. (See Rules & Regulations)
At the National Pageant, contestants first compete in the Preliminary (Qualifying) night of competition to earn a place in the final night of the pageant. Success depends on presenting a strong, complete package across both nights and maintaining consistently high scores in every category. Preliminary competition is judged by five judges, and final night competition is judged by seven judges. In each category, the highest and lowest scores are dropped, and the remaining scores are totaled. Finalists and winners are determined by cumulative scores, so no single category decides the outcome on its own.
Preliminary scores determine the top ten or twelve finalists who advance to final night competition. Contestants are scored in Interview, Swimwear, Talent, and Evening Gown to determine who will advance to the final night of competition.
On final night, contestants appear in the following order: Presentation of Contestants (not judged), Swimwear, Talent, and Evening Gown.After these categories, the top five contestants advance to Final Question and Answer. Their Final Question and Answer scores are then added to their previous totals to determine the new titleholder. (Rules & Regulations)

The Interview category gives contestants and judges a chance to meet in a more relaxed small-group setting. Judges may ask questions on a range of topics to assess each contestant's knowledge, values, personality, and character.
Contestants are not judged on wardrobe, but they should appear neat and well-groomed because their appearance reflects how they would represent Continental Pageantry. A pant-suit, a dress, or a skirt and blouse. Contestants may also dress as male inappropriate business-casual attire.

The Presentation of Contestants takes place during the opening of the Final Night of competition. Although it is not judged, all contestants should be fully polished and presentation-ready because it creates the first impression for the audience and judges.
Contestants must wear a plain white full-length dress or pant-suit made of simple white fabric with no ornamentation or embellishment, including stones, beads, or sequins. Contestants will receive verification of attire 30 days prior to the contest.

Swimwear is judged on stage. Contestants may choose their own swimwear within the rules below. If a contestant uses an escort, only one escort is allowed, and that person may only walk the contestant on and off the stage before exiting immediately. No fire,water, animals, glitter, or confetti may be used in any category. Judging focuses on whether the swimwear suits the contestant's physique and supports strong stage presentation.
Judging is based on swimsuit selection, presentation, onstage modeling, overall appearance, confidence, walk, posture, carriage, grace, personality, and stage presence. Contestants may wear a one-piece swimsuit or any two-piece swimsuit of their choice. The swimsuit must fully cover the breasts, crotch, and buttocks. G-strings,underwear, and micro suits are not allowed.

The Miss Continental Elite Talent category is judged on stage and is limited to 5 minutes or less. Time limits are strictly enforced, and administrative points may be deducted for going over the time limit. Full nudity, pasties, G-strings, thongs, jock straps, underwear, and micro suits are not allowed for contestants, dancers, or extras. Non-mobile props are not allowed at the National Competition. No fire, water, animals, glitter, or confetti may be used in talent or any other category, period.
Judging is based on overall stage presence, originality, and the quality of the performance. Judges may consider elements such as voice, showmanship, lip-sync, dance, character work, and the effective use of backup dancers or extras. The contestant should remain the focus of the number and demonstrate personality, creativity, technical skill, charisma, and the ability to entertain as a solo titleholder.

Miss Continental Elite Evening Gown competition is judged on stage. Contestants must wear a full-length evening gown of their choice. If a contestant uses an escort, only one escort is allowed, and that person may only walk the contestant on and off the stage before exiting immediately. No fire, water,animals, glitter, or confetti may be used in any category.
Judges will consider the gown selection for the contestant, the fit, stage presence, shoes, modeling, and overall presentation based on grace, poise, elegance, appearance, and demeanor.

Continental Pageantry emphasizes the quality of its contestants over the quantity of participants. In the Final Question and Answer Category, only the top five contestants answer a final question to determine the winner. The top five are selected based on their total scores in the categories of Interview, Swimwear, Talent, and Evening Gown competition. Final Question and Answer scores are then added to those totals.
To promote fairness of competition. At the National pageant every finalist will answer the same final question. Finalist are placed in secure soundproof area while awaiting their turn for the opportunity to hear and answer question. The final question during each competition is determined by Jim Flint. Judges will evaluate the contestants based on their on-stage presence, composure, quick-wit, and the intelligence, completeness, and relevance of each answer.

Newcomer Division: Added to the Continental Pageantry System in 2024, The MR Continental Newcomer Pageant and the Miss Continental Newcomer National Pageant are one-night competitions. In both divisions, contestants are judged in Interview, Swimwear, Talent, and Evening Gown or Formal Wear. The top five contestants in each division advance to Final Question and Answer, and final placements are based on the combined scores from all categories.
Newcomer contestants are not required to compete in or place at a preliminary pageant to qualify for the National Pageant. They must register with the National Office once the announcement is made for accepting entries. Are you a Newcomer? All Newcomer Division contestants must meet the Experience Requirement, which defines a Newcomer as someone with three years or less of experience in drag performance, male entertainment, and/or pageantry or entertainment competition. Contestants also must not have won a city title or any state, national, or international preliminary, qualifying, or final pageant competition. Bar contest titles are permitted.
